On the 26th, Shin Textile Solutions Co., Ltd. received the honor of being the only apparel OEM manufacturing company selected for the 2024 list of Youth-Friendly Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) announced by the Ministry of Employment and Labor.

The Youth-Friendly SME system has been an annual selection by the Ministry of Employment and Labor since 2016, identifying companies that offer working conditions preferred by young people in terms of wage levels, work-life balance, employment stability, and a youth-friendly corporate culture. This year, companies with violations of labor laws, such as unfair dismissals, workplace bullying, and sexual harassment, were excluded, making the selection criteria more stringent.

Particularly, the selection of Shin Textile Solutions Co., Ltd. is significant as it is the only one in the apparel OEM manufacturing sector, considering that most of the 533 selected companies belong to technology and capital-intensive industries such as information and communication, scientific and technical services, semiconductors, construction, IT industry equipment and parts, and chemical manufacturing. This is seen as a result of structural changes in the traditionally labor-intensive and youth dissatisfaction perceived apparel industry.

Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, Shin Textile Solutions Co., Ltd. has a distinctive young leadership, with 53% of its total employees being in their 20s and 30s, and 33% of its total executives in their 30s and 40s, a rarity in the apparel industry outside of the IT sector. An active incentive system distributing a certain percentage of profits as incentives, a family-oriented culture that encourages lunch gatherings, and flexible annual leave usage by the hour are factors that enhance the satisfaction of Generation MZ employees.

Meanwhile, Shin Textile Solutions Co., Ltd., with its own factories in Vietnam and Ethiopia, has recorded an average growth rate of over 17% in the past decade through cooperation with world-renowned luxury outdoor brands such as Mammut, Schoffel, Dainese, Scott, and La Sportiva. This demonstrates the dynamism unique to Shin Textile Solutions Co., Ltd.'s young company and its competitiveness as a youth-friendly enterprise, while also expected to bring new winds of change to the apparel industry.
